Ingredients

  • 4 cups flour
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 2 1/4 tsp instant yeast
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup softened butter
  • Filling: 1/2 cup brown sugar + 2 tbsp cinnamon + 1/4 cup butter
  • Glaze: 1 cup powdered sugar + 2 tbsp milk

Method

  1. 1Mix warm milk, yeast and sugar; let it foam 5 minutes.
  2. 2Add egg, butter and flour; knead into a soft dough.
  3. 3Cover and let rise until doubled, about 1 hour.
  4. 4Roll into a rectangle, spread with butter and cinnamon sugar.
  5. 5Roll up tightly, slice into 12, and place in a buttered pan.
  6. 6Rise 30 minutes, then bake at 350°F for 22–25 minutes.
  7. 7Whisk the glaze and pour over the warm rolls.
